Chartered Accountants and director of U.S. based Solatube International, the global leader in daylighting solutions, Wayne has built a formidable reputation for results, growth and fail safe delivery. Formerly the managing director of Linx Projects, an award winning Sydney based construction company he brings to the Central Element group an extensive understanding of the development and construction process underpinned by sound financial expertise.

Non Executive Director
Shane has been at the forefront of the real estate industry for over 30 years in both development and marketing. Until recently he has owned and led one of Australia’s most successful residential agency networks with annual sales of $3 billion. Following the sale of the business he is now fully focused on ensuring Central Element’s projects are delivered to the highest possible standard of excellence in all aspects. Constantly in touch with market trends and demand, Shane adds invaluable direction to Central Element residential developments in his non executive directorship role to ensure the best combination of functional designs and strategic locations which are best positioned to maximise investment potential.
Nathan has been fortunate to commence his humble career of 12 years in the Property Industry at a very early age. Through his family’s property developments he was able to gain insight to the complex nature of construction and the development process.
The property creation process is what excited him the most and lead to the completion of a Bachelor of Construction Management. Whilst at University, Nathan assisted build his family’s developments, and was able to gain exceptional construction knowledge and understanding of building techniques. On the completion of his degree, he joined his family’s construction business where he successfully completed developments across all sectors including multi-story residential, luxury residential apartments, retail fitouts and commercial offices.
Nathan now leads a highly driven and dynamic Development Management Team. He has a strong belief in collaboration, organisational efficiency and achieving results above and beyond and this is reflected in his leadership, work ethic and added value that filters in throughout the CE group.
He strives on solving complex problems and challenges, and enjoys the problem solving approach that enables the group to be successful across all phases of the development lifecycle. If he is not problem solving, he will find the above and beyond ‘added value’ that can be achieved and the results are always astonishing and proven with the group’s successful completed developments. Nathan looks forward to the next chapter of CE, and with a strong collaborative team he believes they will continue to achieve record results.
Jan van der Bergh
Jan is a highly driven individual who ensures developments realise their full potential. With 9 years of experience in the industry, he has worked in both contractor and client-side positions managing residential developments in Sydney and London. His attention to detail in design and financial aspects are unmatched. Drawing from a knowledge gained from a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management at UNSW together with experience in luxury residential construction, Jan has continued to deliver quality and financially successful developments throughout his career.
An avid Crossfitter, Jan enjoys pursuing excellence in both the athletic world and in property development. Jan cultivates the philosophy of going beyond clients’ expectations that has made Central Element a trustworthy authority in their field.
David has over 11 years construction, project management and development experience. In this time David has worked on a number of major and complex programmes and projects as a Project Manager and Project Development Manager. These cover residential, retail, healthcare, rail and commercial sectors in the order of $625 million dollars.
David’s strengths lie in the delivery of medium to high density residential developments with the successful management of over 630 residential apartments across 10 developments sites in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. David managed various stages of the development life cycle from acquisition, design, planning approval, sales, construction and settlement.
David holds a Bachelor of Construction management and a Masters of Commerce (Property and Investment).
Dean Chivas has been raised in the Construction and Property Development Industry and subsequently completing his High School education, construction had played a large role in the early stages of his career from originally on the tools and then following through into management. Dean has completed a Bachelor of Construction Management and in conjunction with his education he commenced as a Contracts Administrator / Estimator role for a well-established Newcastle Builder which exposed him to several important sectors such as residential, commercial, retail and industrial, this gained him exceptional construction knowledge and experience.
Dean joined the Central Element team two years ago to further develop his career in Property Development. He is respected by his peers for his strong construction eye for detail and is instrumental in managing the design and construct phases of all developments. Dean’s construction knowledge coupled with excellent communication skills allows him to drive successful outcomes whether during design processes, construction and sales. Dean also provides enthusiasm to challenging problems and brings a breath of fresh air to the Central Element Group which further signifies his key role.
Assistant Development Manager
Dylan is a property development enthusiast, with his prime interest being residential development. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree at The University of Otago, majoring in management and marketing. He worked abroad for a year in Chile managing private equity investor relations on behalf of renewable energy projects. He was exposed to project development which has ultimately lead to his pursuits in property development in Australia. Complementing his role at Central Element, Dylan studies a Master of Property and Development at UNSW. This provides the financial, analytical and strategic understanding of the property sector that he then applies in practice. The balance of academic study and property industry experience leads to excellent results at Central Element. Dylan’s curiosity and drive engages him to deliver projects that exceed expectations.
Assistant Development Manager
Sarah is an enthusiastic and driven individual, with a great understanding of residential development. Sarah completed a Bachelor of Property Economics at The University of Technology, Sydney which has provided her with a skill set for valuation, market analysis, investment which she utilises throughout the development process. Concurrently with her studies, Sarah has worked across developments within the Retirement Living sector, focusing on the delivery phase of construction, sales and settlement. Further to these studies, Sarah is undertaking a Certificate 4 in Construction and Building providing her with practical construction knowledge which she applies to every project. Sarah’s interests and skill sets have led her to providing aid within Phnom Penh, Cambodia where she was an integral part of a team which designed and built vernacular housing for a developing community within the area. Her knowledge, interest and experience within the industry allows Sarah to adapt and achieve results across all projects within the Central Element team.
