Formerly the managing director of Linx Projects, an award winning Sydney based construction company he brings to the Central Element group an extensive understanding of the development and construction process underpinned by sound financial expertise.

Shane has been at the forefront of the real estate industry for over 30 years in both development and marketing. Until recently he has owned and led one of Australia’s most successful residential agency networks with annual sales of $3 billion. Following the sale of the business he is now fully focused on ensuring Central Element’s projects are delivered to the highest possible standard of excellence in all aspects. Constantly in touch with market trends and demand, Shane adds invaluable direction to Central Element residential developments in his non executive directorship role to ensure the best combination of functional designs and strategic locations which are best positioned to maximise investment potential.
Nathan combines exceptional knowledge from 8 years of diverse project management experience across residential, commercial and retail sectors following the completion of his Bachelor of Construction Management degree. He has the proven ability to manage the design, planning and construction process, establishing and negotiating complex contractual agreements, as well as developing innovative contracting and procurement approaches. His exceptional professional skills and personable nature enable the formation of effective working relationships with head contractors, consultants, authorities and all other parties to bring about a successful development from commencement to completion.
Jan van der Bergh
Jan is a highly driven individual who ensures developments realise their full potential. With 9 years of experience in the industry, he has worked in both contractor and client-side positions managing residential developments in Sydney and London. His attention to detail in design and financial aspects are unmatched. Drawing from a knowledge gained from a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management at UNSW together with experience in luxury residential construction, Jan has continued to deliver quality and financially successful developments throughout his career.
An avid Crossfitter and nutrition advocate, Jan enjoys pursuing excellence in both the athletic world and in property development. Jan cultivates the philosophy of going beyond clients’ expectations that has made Central Element a trustworthy authority in their field.
David has over 11 years construction, project management and development experience. In this time David has worked on a number of major and complex programmes and projects as a Project Manager and Project Development Manager. These cover residential, retail, healthcare, rail and commercial sectors in the order of $625 million dollars.
David’s strengths lie in the delivery of medium to high density residential developments with the successful management of over 630 residential apartments across 10 developments sites in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. David managed various stages of the development life cycle from acquisition, design, planning approval, sales, construction and settlement.
David holds a Bachelor of Construction management and a Masters of Commerce (Property and Investment).
Dean Chivas has been raised in the Construction and Property Development Industry and subsequently completing his High School education, construction had played a large role in the early stages of his career from originally on the tools and then following through into management. Dean has completed a Bachelor of Construction Management and in conjunction with his education he commenced as a Contracts Administrator / Estimator role for a well-established Newcastle Builder which exposed him to several important sectors such as residential, commercial, retail and industrial, this gained him exceptional construction knowledge and experience.
Dean joined the Central Element team two years ago to further develop his career in Property Development. He is respected by his peers for his strong construction eye for detail and is instrumental in managing the design and construct phases of all developments. Dean’s construction knowledge coupled with excellent communication skills allows him to drive successful outcomes whether during design processes, construction and sales. Dean also provides enthusiasm to challenging problems and brings a breath of fresh air to the Central Element Group which further signifies his key role.
Assistant Development Manager
Dylan is a property development enthusiast, with his prime interest being residential development. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree at The University of Otago, majoring in management and marketing. He worked abroad for a year in Chile managing private equity investor relations on behalf of renewable energy projects. He was exposed to project development which has ultimately lead to his pursuits in property development in Australia. Complementing his role at Central Element, Dylan studies a Master of Property and Development at UNSW. This provides the financial, analytical and strategic understanding of the property sector that he then applies in practice. The balance of academic study and property industry experience leads to excellent results at Central Element. Dylan’s curiosity and drive engages him to deliver projects that exceed expectations.
